The Payson Main Street Program was established in 2000. The main purpose of the Main Street Program
is to utilize the four point Main Street Program approach to create a
vibrant and active Main Street Corridor. The four-point approach
includes Design, Economic Restructuring, Promotion, and Organization.
The Board of Directors for this program has established four
committees to address each of the four points. More information on
what the Board and the subcommittees are doing can be obtained by
going to the Strategic Plan.
In order to encourage development and redevelopment within the Main Street area the Town has created several
incentives. The Business Incentive Program includes more flexibility in zoning regulations, expedited plan review timelines, financial incentives, and grants for rehab of existing structures.
The Board of Directors meet the first Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at 9 AM in the Main Street Office. Information on Board Accomplishments can be
viewed here. For further information we encourage you to contact Ray Erlandsen, Acting Community Development Director. |
