Library Friends Meeting Speaker
David Grassé - Payson Public Library Assistant Librarian and author

Mr. Grassé will present a program on the Bisbee Massacre of 1883.  Five outlaws attempted to rob the A.A Castaneda Mercantile establishment in the mining town of Bisbee in December 1883. Several people were killed, and the event made the national news, from San Francisco to New York. In his book, David takes a fresh look at the attempted heist, which was as momentous as the infamous feud between the Earp brothers.
This is David’s second book. He will bring copies of his recently published book to the presentation. David has brought his creativity, energy and love for Arizona history to Payson, after working as librarian for the Arizona Department of Corrections in Tucson.
