Payson is the largest town in Gila county with a 2009 population of 17,242. Connected by the Beeline Highway (AZ-87) to the greater Phoenix area only 90 minutes South, and to Flagstaff 90 minutes to the North, and with I-40 via AZ-260 to I-17, Payson is strategically located in the center of Arizona. AZ-260 also connects the area with other eastern Arizona recreation oriented communities in the White Mountains.

Offers a state income tax credit up to $3,000 for each net new employee over a three year period for a maximum of 200 new employees in any given year.
