New Statewide Report on Homeowners Insurance & Wildfire Risk

The Arizona Resiliency & Mitigation Council has released a new statewide report examining homeowners insurance availability, affordability, and wildfire risk, especially for communities located in the wildland-urban interface, like Payson.

As wildfire conditions across Arizona continue to evolve, this report helps explain:
• How insurance carriers assess wildfire risk
• Why premiums, renewals, and coverage options may be changing
• How individual, community, and statewide mitigation efforts can reduce risk

The Town of Payson is sharing this information to help residents stay informed and connected to available resources.
