Single Family Residential Building
Single Family Residential Building is defined as any construction that is not considered commercial in nature. The value, safety, and code compliance of your structure is heavily dependent on obtaining a building permit prior to construction or installation You may submit for your Single Family Residential permit online by following the steps listed below.
Step 1
Get Prepared!
- Make sure you have your site plans. (under construction examples)
- Know what other required documents you’ll need to provide. These are listed on the permit application, provided in step 2.
- Have your contact information, owner & property information handy. Look up your parcel number: https://assessor.gilacountyaz.gov/assessor/web/) for property information.
- Make sure your documents meet all requirements See Document Guidelines (Under construction).

Step 2
Fill Out The Application
Before you can fill out an application, you will need to create an account in the Permit Center.

Step 3
Once you have an account, you can apply and search for your permits and schedule inspections, Use our (Develop “How to Apply for A Permit and Plan guide” Under Construction) to walk you through the process.
Here you will either register as a first-time user or sign in. The Permit Center decision tool will walk you through several questions and prompts. You will complete the online application, submit required PDF documents and pay any upfront fees, if applicable.
